Sit N Go Stretegy - Types Of Sit N Go Games By http://www.mysportsbookonline.info/
Types:
Beginner Sit n' Gos:
$2, $4, $8, $16, $32 The beginner sit n' go tournaments are my favorites because you find weaker players here and the sit and go strategy is easy. Start tight, get more flexible later, and always play aggressive. Aside from the beginner sit n' go tournaments, there are tournaments ranging from $3 to $200, with a full ten players, and short handed to six. There are even heads up games offered if that is your cup of tea. For me, the beginner games, while almost all are full of players who are not as good, there are distinct differences. I play the $2 games, for example, when I've been hitting a terrible run. Sometimes luck just happens, but more often there are holes forming in my game, whether it's being too big for my britches, or screwing up reads. The $2 games are extremely loose, and so demand extremely tight play, which will put me back on the right track while I analyze my game. $4 games tend to have the same number of bad players as $2, except these games will switch between really bad loose players and really weak over conservative players. This makes the $4 sit and go tables great for making sure my reads are staying up, so I know whether to play tight or bully like crazy. $8 games are slightly better, with a few more moderately good players. This are still great tables to make money when my game is good, but not at its top mark. This keeps me paying attention to players' styles and adjusting my play accordingly. $16 games are for when I'm playing well. Most of the players here will not be bad, but won't necessarily
be good, either. Most of the players at these tables will know the basics, know basic odds, basic styles, and will know to re-raise a minimum raise. Your game has to be slightly better here, but most of the time when I am playing well these can actually be my best tables, since the play is improved enough that less chasers catch on me, and so I suffer less bad breaks. $32 games will find some sharper players. This may be a table where you find your best strategy is to locate the best two players and avoid them at all cost unless you are overwhelmingly strong. But these players will help whittle out the rest, and occasionally you will have some bad players who think they're good players. At these tables if you get a strong chip advantage early, sit on it, and push harder late. These can be extremely profitable games, and when I'm on fire these are the tables you'll find me at. Each of these sit n go games are different, and as you're playing, you should expect to win far more often than you lose, especially if you are playing the beginner's tournaments. If you're doing great at one level, but then move up and get killed, study your game and go back down. I always keep studying my game for holes, and my sit and go strategy keeps improving accordingly. Good luck--unless you're at my table!
